The charger being used for the Lithium batteries of Thorq® is a 70A/400V charger. This means that the driving time will always be longer than the charging time. With Lithium batteries it is possible to charge even faster with higher current. This means more heat in the battery system. If more heat is produced it will reduce the life-span of the battery system.
EKC chooses to charge in a safe module, which means charging in a minimum amount of time but with excellent saving of the battery system. This will give the customer the maximum life-span of their system and a minimum running cost.
